Without a clear roadmap, you may not be getting the most out of your employees. Signs of poor planning include vague milestones and deadlines. It’s not good enough to declare that you want a project to be “on time” and “under budget.” Even underperformers could agree with that general goal. To actually reach it, you need to map out the specific steps along the way. Stop wasting valuable time and resources with poor planning. Give yourself time to plan properly by closing the door to your office, holding your calls and shutting off your e-mail. Start being proactive versus reactive with your decisions.
